[week five - thursday]
[ There are a number of normal places one might find Hannibal Lecter in the town of whole ass. He's a fairly dependable sort of man, with a routine and things he likes to do. These are small things Xion has learned about him over the weeks she's spent getting to know him.
Which makes the kitchen the very first place she tries, since it's in the hotel. She doesn't find him there, to her mild surprise, so off she sets.
The third place she tries - the clinic - nets her what she was looking for. Xion will tilt her head as she hobbles in on her trusty crutches, the look in her eyes thoughtful, even if her expression is otherwise, well, blank. ]
Are you preparing for something?
[ ... hi, by the way. ]

After Jason and Shinnosuke, Hannibal had prepared a modest bag full of whatever he might need to treat people in an emergency, and he was here to restock it and perhaps add a few things. He hadn't included too many actual tools, but after hearing of a girl trampled to death, perhaps it was worth having them after all. He's not sure if it would help. But it could save time.
When Xion enters, Hannibal is in the process of carefully wrapping a scalpel in a bit of bandage so that the blade won't cut anything. It's actually just before she speaks that he looks her way, as if he had heard her coming. His expression is light and curious at first, but seeing the blank look on her face gets the curiosity to ebb away into a light concern instead. ]
In a sense. But I would be quite happy if my preparations were to go unused in this case.
[ He sets the scalpel down, then turns to face her more fully. ]
I would have come to see you yesterday. But I do fear intruding too much. [ He's careful about not overstepping boundaries, but he does ask: ] How are you doing, Xion?
